Matthew Veronese is a 2014 OF/2B with a 5-8 151 lb. frame from Placentia, CA who attends El Dorado HS. Slender young build, developing strength. Right handed hitter, closed front side, short rotational swing, shows some hand strength and occasional lift, developing bat speed, handles the barrel well, consistent mid field contact, has a good feel for hitting and battles. 7.56 runner, athletic actions to the ball in the outfield, short quick arm action, accurate throws, tends to play on his backside and not move through the ball. Good student.
