Erik Rivera is a 2015 OF/IF, RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Oakland, FL who attends West Orange. Medium frame, lean athletic build. Solid two-way prospect who has shown development on the mound. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot with a long loose arm action with good arm speed and projects well. Good tempo to delivery, tight spin on sharp slider with good command of both pitches, arm works well, chance to develop on the mound. Hits with a high hand set, smooth load, good hip rotation and separation of upper and lower halves, good balance, stays inside the baseball well, hit in games. Good routes in the outfield, athletic actions in the infield and outfield, quick arm, short arm action. Good student, named to the National Underclass Session 3 top prospect team.
