2014 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Brad Weaver is a 2015 C/UT, RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Mountain View. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and nice present strength on frame. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, shows nice footwork behind the plate and uses lower half to gain ground and momentum into throws, medium arm action, gets on top of throws with nice carry to base. Takes short steps in the infield to the ball, quick transfer on throws from a short arm action with carry and strength. Right-handed hitter, quiet and quick hand set, stays inside the ball well and shows nice control of the barrel head. Line drive swing plane, swing has some length but shows nice bat speed with a strong feel to hit to the opposite field.
