Sergio Flores is a 2008 2B/3B/OF with a 5'8'', 150 lb. frame from Miami FL, who attends Christopher Columbus HS. He has a small, wiry frame and quick overall actions. Flores ran the 60 in 7.09 and has a good first step. He threw 68 mph during infield drills and has a quick, short arm action typical of a second baseman. Flores hits from a balanced stance and does a very good job of staying behind the ball. He has quick hands that can get the bat started despite having a minimal trigger. Flores made consistent solid contact to the right side and this looks like the type of hitter he's learned to be. More strength would give him an increased ability to drive the ball hard to the RCF alley. Flores is also a good student.
