Jesus Vazquez is a 2012 RHP with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Vocacional de Caguas HS. Thick lower half, some present strength. Side step delivery, mid 3/4's slinging arm action, will occasionally move up to 3/4's. Fastball to 85 mph,, has been up to 88 mph in the past, gets good sink/run at lower velocities, straightens out at 84-85, gets hitters to chase FB up in zone, has some deception. Inconsistent release point on curveball, best at 3/4's slot, tends to drop hand under at fastball slot. Rare change up. Threw strikes and challenged hitters. Good student.
