Dalton Powell is a 2011 RHP/C/SS with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Cherokee, KS who attends Southeast HS. Lean slender athletic body, developing strength. High leg raise delivery, compact arm action, somewhat cross body on release, tends to spin off, threw strikes, low 80's fastball with good running action, nice change up with good arm speed/late sink, 11/5 curve ball shape with fair spin. Good catching tools, quick feet and release, solid arm strength, 1.94 best pop, may have highest ceiling behind the plate. Spread stance hitting, hands long to the ball, some hand quickness, shows some power potential, will benefit from shortening up. Good student.
