Joseph Starling is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-2 208 lb. frame from Bartow, FL who attends Bartow HS. Big thick physical build, mature look. Multi-part delivery, deep arm action with stab in back, will open early and fall off on release, 3/4's extended arm slot, working on consistent release. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, big arm side running action at times, big sweeping curveball at 74 mph, some feel for change up. Has deception and works the ball around the strike zone, has history of success. Outstanding student, verbal commitment to Stanford.
