Jake Farrell is a 2012 RHP/3B, 1B with a 6-4 182 lb. frame from Sheffield, MA who attends Berkshire School. Tall, lean pitcher's build with projection. Throws from 3/4 slot with loose arm action and repeatable delivery. Good balance and finish with extension out front. Fastball was consistently around 80, topping at 82 with late sink. Command struggles when he rushes delivery. Was able to throw strikes with fastball and curveball when under control and online. Curveball had solid, late 11/5 break at 70 mph. Solid tools on the infield with athleticism and good arm action. Long, line drive swing at the plate. Pull approach. Will benefit from better balance and more use of lower half. Good student.
