2003 Spring Showcase
Mohr is a very good looking sophomore outfielder and pitcher. He has a very good baseball body at 6 foot 2 and 175 pounds. He is coordinated and athletic right now and projects to improve in nearly every catergory. He ran a 7.08 on the 60 and that speed plays well in the outfield. He showed a very strong arm from the outfield registering a top-speed of 87 mph and good defensive actions. His bat showed some life as he uses his strong upper body and we think there is more power in him if he learned to utilize his hips better at the plate. As a pitcher he showed strong legs and a good working arm. He threw an 80 mph fastball and seemed to have a comfortable release point with it. He lists himself as a first position pitcher but we think he can play outfield equally as well, maybe better. Just a sophomore, Mohr will be a fun player to watch for the next couple years.
