Zach Taylor is a 2012 MIF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Vista, CA who attends Vista HS. Lean athletic look, has some present strength. Right handed hitter, open high hands set up, short quick swing to the ball, good bat speed, extends out front, surprising power, had HR and 3B in game action, hard pull contact, 7.30 runner, aggressive baserunner with instincts. Sound infield actions, quick and balanced footwork, soft hands, quick release, gets in position to throw, can throw from multiple arm angles, can make the routine play at SS but arm strength better suited for 2B. Has the tools/skills to play at the next level. Excellent student.
