Daniel Altchech is a 2011 MIF/3B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Bellevue, WA who attends Newport. Altchech has a medium athletic build with present strength and room for continued physical development. He moves well on the infield displaying good footwork and soft hands, he has a quick transfer and release and makes on target throws to first base. He hits from a slightly open stance at the plate showing good batspeed and a balanced swing that generates solid line drive contact. Confident and relaxed approach, and hit well in game play. Good student.
