Michael Boyland is a 2006 3B/2B/SS/P from Hatboro, PA, with a strong and durable 5'11"/180 pound frame. Boyland is a switch hitter with an upright stance from the left side. He has good bat speed and strength in his swing. From the right side, he takes a small stride with good bat speed and makes consistent contact. Michael showed a strong and accurate arm across the infield at 83 mph and is a solid defensive infielder. As a right handed pitcher, he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with clean arm action. His delivery is balanced and online and he gets leverage in his delivery with good tempo. His fastball was 81 mph and he throws a 69 mph changeup with sink and a 70 mph curveball with 11-5 break. Boyland is a good student.
