Josh Noxon is a 2006 OF/RHP from Nevada Union HS in Nevada City, CA, with 5'11", 180 lb. frame. He ran a good sixty (7.07) on a slow track and that speed transferred well to the outfield where he shows very good range with good first step quickness. To go along with his speed, Noxon has a very accurate throwing arm with solid arm speed from the outfield. He has a short arm action from the outfield which limits the carry on his throws and he would be helped by lengthening his arm action. Offensively he hits from a straight away stance and loads his hands well with solid bat speed. He is a patient hitter with a good knowledge of the strike zone and he isn't going to chase bad pitches. On the mound he showed good control, and showed good poise. His fastball topped out at 71 mph and he mixed in a curveball at 60 mph.
