Jake Crawford is a 2008 RHP/3B with a 6'1'', 160 lb. frame from Boise, ID, who attends Boise High School. Crawford has a lean and athletic frame with projectability. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with good arm action. Crawford has a quick arm, and throws down hill from is high release point. There is minimal effort in his delivery. His fastball topped out at 84 mph, while working in the 82-84 mph. He has solid present velocity and there is more to come. Crawford can spin his curveball with depth at times. He throws strikes with both pitches, and he struck out 6 in 3 innings of work. Defensively he has an accurate arm from the outfield with solid carry. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly closed stance. He is an aggressive hitter who shows bat speed through the zone. He has upside on the mound, and he is an outstanding student as well.
