McCans is a 5-11 junior infielder from south Florida with good present strength and some body life. He ran the 60 in 7.01 and threw 78 mph during infield drills. McCans has good hands in the infield and moved to the ball well. He played both second base and third base during the games and his arm played better at second base. Offensively, McCans has a good set up and load and a flat, line drive swing plane. He hit the ball consistently hard to the right side in batting practice and in games and showed some gap power. McCans is not going to pull often but he has the strength to do so if he were to make some adjustments. He is a very good student.
