Jimmy Allen is a 2010 MIF with a 5'9'', 155 lb. frame from Vista, CA who attends Rancho Buena Vista. Allen has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively, Allen has arm strength with carry on his throws. He has nice transfers on the infield and his hands work well. Allen has good defensive actions and his feet work well to the baseball. At the plate, Allen starts with a slightly open stance and uses a short hand load. He has a quiet approach in the box and has a short hand hitch to start his swing. Allen uses a rock back load and gets weight shift at contact. He maintains good balance through his swing and has s short bat path to the baseball. Allen gets the barrell there and makes consistent solid contact. Allen is also an outstanding student.
