Grant Cox is a 2015 LHP/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Lafayette, LA who attends St Thomas More HS. Nice projectable athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Primary left handed pitcher, graded out much higher as an outfielder at this event. Right handed hitter. aggressive hitter with a long loose swing, good path to the ball, present bat speed with lift in his swing and power potential, ball is loud coming off the barrel. 7.04 runner, moves well in the outfield and on the bases, shows his arm strength. Back side lean during his delivery on the mound, high 3/4's slot, lacks balance at release. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, mostly straight. Curveball shows fair spin with some 1/7 depth on occasion. Two-way follow but higher ceiling looks to be as a position player.
