Edgardo Ortiz is a 2007 third baseman, outfielder, and catcher that attends Bayonne High School and resides in Bayonne, Florida. He has a 5'11", 180 pound frame that is strong and athletic. Edgardo gets good leverage in his swing and can drive the ball to all fields. He has nice strength in his swing and has pop to the middle of the field. Ortiz has a very quick release in the outfield and showed some good arm strength. He threw 76 mph from the outfield. Ortiz is a solid receiver behind the plate. He controls the game very well and is always keeping his head into the game.
