2004 Midwest Undergrad Showcase
Dorian McElwee is a 2006 second baseman from Westchester, Illinois, with a lean build at 5'7", 140 pounds. He hits from a slightly closed stance, and has an inside out swing with good bat control. He made solid contact and showed good pop during the event when he made some good adjustments to a wood bat swing. He shortened his hands to the ball, and hit strong up the middle, with a quick stroke. Defensively he has excellent range up the middle, with soft hands and a quick transfer. Dorian will add strength and speed as he matures and will play well at the next level.
