Daniel Iglesias is a 2006 RHP from Madison HS in San Diego, CA, with a 5'11", 160 lb. frame. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with solid arm speed. Iglesias stays balanced over the rubber with a high front side arm. His fastball topped out at 83 mph with some late life in on the right handed hitters. Iglesias also throws a breaking ball at 66 mph, and mixes in a 73 mph change up. He also throws a cut fastball/splitter with late downward action that is tough on the hitters. Iglesias had good control of all of his pitches and kept the ball down. Offensively he hits from a straight away and upright stance with little to no stride. He has good bat speed and stays balanced through his swing. He showed the ability to stay inside the ball and hit to the opposite field. Iglesias has solid secondary pitches for the next level and should be followed.
