Garet Helwig is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Centennial, CO who attends Grandview. Helwig has a long lean build with room to fill out. Hits from a square stance. Line drive swing plane with good bat speed. Good contact. Stays balanced through out the swing and gets extended through the ball. Body projects. Defensively, has short arm action, accurate throws, feet work well. Also pitches. 3/4 arm slot, online delivery with a long arm action. Good command of fastball, a 11/5 breaking curveball and straight change up. Will continue to improve with added strength to his frame.
