John Martisch Jr. is a 2014 C/OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Penn Yan, NY who attends Penn Yan Academy. Has a large frame and strong build. In the OF, he's long in back, solid arm strength, carry on ball. Behind the plate made good throws, good transfer and release, and stays online. At the plate, he is a right-handed hitter and hits from a wide base, displayed a short stroke, line drive swing plane, quickness in bat, some extension and showed strength on contact. He also showed the ability to lift the ball, has some pop, and has definite power potential with current strength. Good student.
