Brian Youchak is a 2005 MIF from Pittsburgh, PA. At 5'7", he has good, quick, smooth actions on defense. His feet work very well and his ball/glove transfers are quick and efficient. He showed a nice strong arm and ran a sub-7 sixty on the slow track. Youchak hits from a spread stance with no stride and limited load and a wristy, short swing. He isn’t able to create a ton of bat speed with wood yet, but had good bat head control and made solid contact virtually every swing during games and batting practice. He looks to be a good table setter at the top of a lineup. Very athletic with great instincts, he can play. Brian is a very good student.
