JD Williams is a 2015 SS/OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Brampton, ON who attends David Suzuki. Williams has a lean athletic build with room to fill out and get stronger. Hits from an open stance, high leg kick trigger to a closed stance. Good balance, shows good bat speed and ability to handle inside pitch. Stays linear with lower half and makes hard contact to the middle of the field. Good use of lower half with a line drive swing plane. Has good leverage in swing and shows gap to gap potential. Defensively, worked out from both the OF and INF, from the OF, long arm action, sure actions to and through baseball. Arm is loose and works well, on the Infield, smooth fielding actions, fielded ball out front, can throw from all angles and stays balanced well. Signed with State College of Florida. Good Student.
