2006 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Joseph Riggs is a 2009 3B/RHP from Deep Creek HS in Chesapeake, VA with a 5'11", 165 lb. frame. Joseph has a lean athletic build and plays for one of the stronger high school programs in Virginia. At the plate Joseph has good hand strength and made solid line-drive contact. His swing can get quite long and he will see alot of improvement when he works on getting his hands inside the ball. Joseph showed solid third base tools with some carry on his throws. On the mound Joseph changed speeds well and could be a solid high school pitcher. Joseph is a young player that showed a solid tool-set and could be a solid smaller college player.
