WP - Matt Neal is a 2005 LHP/1B from Mountain Pointe HS in Phoenix. Matt has a medium frame with square shoulders and strong calves. Matt is a versatile player. From the mound he showed a very good feel for the strike zone and was able to use both sides of the plate. At the plate, Matt used a compact swing with a slight trigger to his approach. At this showcase, his swing looked mechanically better from the right side, but more lift and power from the left side of the plate. Matt sprayed the ball to all fields from both sides. He is also a very good student.
