Josh Campbell is a 2016 SS/OF/RHP with a 6-3 172 lb. frame from Angleton, TX who attends Angleton HS. Tall very slender build, really projects well physically. Right handed hitter, Tall stance has quick hands and a short swing path with good loose extension out front, solid pull line drive contact, lacks present strength but has a nice swing and lots of potential when the strength kicks in. 7.09 runner, showed athleticism in the infield moving to the ball, low release point on throws and tends to throw sinkers to first base, kind of coltish at times defensively but the tools and potential shine through at other times. Also plays the outfield. Rotational delivery on the mound with a low 3/4's to side arm release point, low effort delivery, fastball topped out at 74 mph. Follow closely for additional strength and physical development. Good student.
