Nick Harper is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Chevy Chase, MD who attends Georgetown Preparatory. Large frame with a strong, mature build with broad shoulders. Right handed pitcher who throws from an over the top arm slot with a long arm action. Compact delivery and is able to generate downhill plane on his pitches. Spots fastball well in the strike zone, topping at 84 mph. Very good feel for change up at 75 mph with consistent, late fade. Pounds strike zone with both pitches and maintains velocity well from stretch. Also played first base where he showed a feel around the bag and a strong arm across the diamond. Bats from the right side with a still, balanced set up and shows lift in swing with potential for some power. Good student.
