Chris Thompson is a 2008 RHP/OF from Portsmouth Abbey HS, residing in Harwich, Massachusetts, with a 6'3"/190 pound frame. Chris has a tall and solid frame. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with solid arm speed. His arm action is short in back with some effort in his delivery. Thompson has an 86 mph fastball with slight arm side run that he keeps down in the zone. He has a solid curveball at 69 mph and mies in a changeup with sink at 71 mph. Chris mixes pitches well but needs to be more consistent in repeating his delivery and release point. He hits from a straight stance with a knee lift trigger. Thompson looks to pull the ball. He has solid power and good power potential. Chris has long arm action from the outfield with an accurate arm at 88 mph. He has solid reactions to the ball defensively. Chris is an excellent student.
