2006 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Ryan Smith is a 2007 RHP with a 6'0'', 165 lb. frame from Greenlaw, NY who attends Harbor Fields HS. Ryan has a lean athletic build with room to fill out and was one of the top students at the showcase. On the mound Ryan throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a loose easy arm action. He uses his body well in his delivery while working quick forcing making hitters put the ball on the ground. Ryan has nice action on his change-up and needs to make sure he keeps the same arm slot for his curveball. He is a strong student that should attract the attention of many of the top academic schools across the country.
