Mason Asato is a 2016 OF/2B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Honolulu, HI who attends Punahou. Small frame, lean build with room to fill. Hits from an open stance, good lower half use to swing, aggressive hitter with a quick bat who accelerates his hands well, creates leverage with lower half to drive the ball with doubles power to the pullside. Sound defensive skills in the outfield, arm works well, deliberate throwing motion. Good student.
