Gabe Golob is a 2016 C/RHP with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Encino, CA who attends Harvard-Westlake. Long frame, lean projectable build. Young player who was solid on both ends of the battery. Good defensive actions behind the plate at his primary position with quick feet, solid present arm strength with good long term projection with a long loose arm action. Throws carry, posted a very solid 1.98 pop time in the catcher workout. Hits from a slightly open stance, solid bat speed with a short swing path and line drive plane, projectable strength to drive the ball in the future. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot with a short arm action, low effort repeatable delivery. Fastball up to 81, cutting action on changeup, fastball tails back to the arm side, 11-5 shape on curveball, projects well on the mound. Good student.
