Justin Mitchell is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from El Cajon, CA who attends Granite Hills. Tall, strong athletic build, good body. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot, clean arm action, projectable arm strength. Repeats delivery well, around zone with both pitches, topped out at 83 mph and showed good spin rate on 70 mph curveball. Showed upside with the bat as well, flashes power potential with good leverage and strength, long swing with good bat speed, pull approach with uppercut swing plane. Good defensive actions at 1B, good footwork. Good student.
