Edgar Hernandez is a 2007 C/1B with a 5'10'', 194 lb. frame from Luquillo, Puerto Rico, who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy High School. Edgar has a strong well-developed build and shows a good feel for the game. At the plate Edgar has good strength in his swing with some nice pop. His balance and weight transfer are off some and he could really improve if he works on this. Behind the plate Edgar has a quick release with a solid accurate arm. His tools are raw at this point, but there is plenty of upside behind the plate. Edgar is a strong student that will attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
