2003 South Top Prospect Showcase
Picos is a young third baseman who showed a playable arm and a sure glove with good hands at third base. He might not have the speed to play middle infield at the next level but he has playable 3B actions. He took a good batting practice by producing hard hit balls and not holding back with the swing. He can sometimes get himself off-balance, but we expect he can handle aluminum very well. He even pitched showing 80 mph velocity with good life and a good curve at 69 mph. He projects to get stronger yet at 5'10/170. He showed multiple areas where he can make a positive impact at the right program. There is definitely a place for him at the next level. Andrew is a good student.
