Brett Phillips is a 2015 1B/ with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Trabuco Canyon, CA who attends Tesoro. Large, mature frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Ran a 7.24 60 yard dash. Short arm action on throws from first base, online to target. Moves off the bag well and fields the ball out front. Receives the ball out front from behind the plate, gains ground on throws to second base. Stays upright throughout throws, short arm action from ear. Right-handed batter who starts with a low hand set. Shows bat speed in swing and gets barrel through the zone. Uses his strength in swing, flashing hard contact up the middle. Excellent student.
