Scott Spurlock is a 2015 3B/RHP with a 6-0 182 lb. frame from Louisville, KY who attends St Xavier HS. Nice athletic build, projects to get stronger. Upright stance, high knee raise trigger, quick hands from a busy load, short and fast path to the ball, has bat speed, squares the ball up consistently, ball jumps well on contact, shows some gap power with more to come, projects to continue to improve offensively. Fundamentally sound defensive player, moves through the ball well and stays balanced, good footwork, accurate throws, can improve foot and lower half quickness. Also pitched, low 3/4's arm slot, compact arm action, upper 70's fastball topped out at 81 mph, good sink and run at times. Curveball is was very effective with good spin and break, tended to slow arm on change up. Throws strikes, mixes well and got quick outs. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team for the showcase.
