2013 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Michael Schwarze is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from St. Louis, MO who attends Chaminade College Prep. Broad shouldered athletic build, good present strength. Standard leg raise delivery, full arm circle, high 3/4's arm slot, tends to open lower half early and fall off on release. Consistent mid 80's fastball, mostly straight, topped out at 85 mph, tends to miss up arm side frequently due to delivery. 12/6 downer curveball with good spin and depth when on top of it, tends to get on side for more of a slurvy break, showed some feel for his change up. Has the arm strength and pitches to keep improving with delivery adjustments. Right handed hitter, power approach, good bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard, looks to pull, good weight transfer and uses his strength, occasional loud contact, has hitting tools to develop. Very good student.
