Nick Peters is a 2007 RHP/OF with a 6'6'', 190 lb. frame from W Newton MA, who attends Catholic Memorial HS. He has a tall and lean build with very projectable future strength gains. Peters has a short arm action and a high 3/4's to overhand release point. To get his arm through to the high release point Peters has tilt his upper body towards first base, which causes inconsistencies in his release and delivery. Peters showed good arm strength, touching 86 mph with his fastball. His fastball had heavy sinking life down in the zone. Peters curveball was 65 mph and was mostly loose with an 11/5 downer break. He didn't show a change up. Peters has lots of ability that will start to blossom has he irons out his pitching mechanics. He is a good student off the field.
