Marcos Campos is a 2015 SS/2B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Upland, CA who attends South Hills. Medium frame, thin athletic build. Impressive showing in game at-bats, one of the best in-game hitters of the event. Showed ability to turn around good velocity (90) and punished mid-upper 80s, homered in game. Hits from a slightly open stance with a leg lift trigger, pull approach with a line drive swing plane with late lift and good extension through contact. Good bat speed, ball jumps when centered and is nowhere near done developing physical strength. Solid arm in the infield with good carry on throws, hands work well, solid tools and while he has some things to iron out the ingredients are present to be a quality defensive infielder. Good student. Named to the Sunshine West Top Prospect Team.
