Tyler McLurg is a 2013 C/RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Lakewood, CA who attends Valley Christian HS. Medium athletic frame, some present strength. 7.30 runner, solid catch and throw tools defensively, 1.97 best pop time, good carry on throws, compact arm action, has some lower half quickness. Right handed hitter, bent knee pre-load approach, limited shift through contact, short swings, exaggerated inside out approach, spray line drive contact. Also pitched, simple repeatable delivery, short arm action, 3/4's slot, fastball topped out at 83 mph, mostly straight, short breaking slurve type breaking ball, works quickly and throws strikes.
