John White is a 2010 RHP/MIF with a 5'10'', 166 lb. frame from Lacey, WA who attends Timberline. Medium build, athletic, has room for continued development. Fast paced drop and drive delivery on mound, shows good armspeed, works quickly and attacks hitters, takes control and competes, shows pitchability, throws curveball for strikes and is effective keeping hitters off balance, worked three hitless innings in game play. Fields well, sees ball into glove, stays low to ground with good hip position, quick transfer and release, has defensive tools. Narrow open stance at plate, long stride, contact approach, patient hitter, good recognition, puts ball in play and hustles out of box. Very good student.
