Nicholas DePaula is a 2008 LHP/1B from Woodstock Academy, residing in Woodstock, Connecticut, with a 6'0"/180 pound frame. Nicholas has a solid frame. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with short arm action. DePaula uses some effort in his delivery and throws across his body. He has a straight fastball at 74 mph and his changeuphas sink and fade at 69 mph. Nicholas has a 63 mph curveball and a 65 mph slider and mixes pitches well. He needs to increase his velocity and add sharpness to his breaking pitches. DePaula hits from an open stance and closes well. He has a top hand release and a line drive approach.
