Blake Frazier is a 2007 MIF with a 5'9'', 160 lb. frame from Little Rock AR, who attends Pulaski Academy. He has a small wiry frame with deceptive strength. Frazier is a quick twitch type athlete with live actions. He ran the 60 in 7.17 but is 4.30 to first base and has fast game actions that make his 60 time secondary in his evaluation. Frazier hits out of a tall, open stance with an early commitment and rock in trigger. After batting practice we thought that Frazier's long, early load might leave his body and hands out of position to hit in games but the opposite was true; his quickness and balance enabled him to make consistent hard contact and he turned on the ball very well when he got the chance. He looks like a high contact/high average type of hitter who might slash and run some extra base hits occasionally. Defensively, Frazier has quick hands and good balance. He showed the ability to throw from different arm angles with a quick release and fielded everything in games cleanly. His quick, short actions are more oriented towards second base but he has some arm strength and could fill in on the left side, too. Frazier was solid across the board in the games and looked like a player. He is also an excellent student.
