Benton is a 6-2, 190 lb left handed pitcher with a nice athletic body. He has an aggressive, fast paced delivery which problaby provides some deception to the hitter but which also creates some balance problems. Benton gets good tailing action on a 80-82 mph fastball. His 67 mph curveball has a big, sweeping break to it and he'll also get some fading action on a 71 mph change up. Benton does a good job mixing his pitches up and throwing strikes with all his pitches. He projects well overall and should add some velocity in the future. Benton is also an outstanding student.
