Garret Trezona is a young 2007 middle infielder from Miami who looks like he can become a first rate prospect in a few years with regular development of his strength and speed. Trezona has good feet and hands in the field and made several nice plays coming through the ball during games, especially at second base. Trezona has a tendency to drop his arm angle on throws, which can hurt his accuracy, but he has very good arm strength for his age. Offensively, Trezona really hit the ball well in games, picking up a double and a couple of singles in six at bats. He hits from a no stride approach and while he doesn’t have notable bat speed yet, he shows an above average ability to center the barrel on the ball and hit it solidly to all fields. He has a great feel for the game and projects in a big way. Garret is a good student.
