David Matos is a 2011 OF/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from El Dorado, Panama who attends San Agustin School. Slender young body, minimal present strength. Good runner, 6.94 in the 60, moves well in the outfield, long release on throws, developing arm strength, accurate throws. Left handed hitter, very spread stance with pre-stride, lacks flow through contact, upper half swing, pull approach, tends to hit around, line drive swing plane, would benefit from hitting taller. Good student.
