Andrew Nealon is a 2007 C/IF with a 5'8'', 165 lb. frame from Lincoln NE, who attends Lincoln Southwest HS. He has a medium type frame and could get stronger. Nealon has quick actions, especially on defense. His hands work well receiving the ball and he has a quick exchange on his throws. His best pop time was 2.03 (2.15 game) and he put his throws on the bag consistently. He'll throw some runners out if his pitchers give him a chance to. Offensively, Nealon hits from an open to closed approach with a rotational upper body swing. He uses mostly his arms in swinging the bat. His best contact was pull line drive contact when he got something on the inside half he could handle. Nealon is a good student.
