2005 Sunshine East Showcase
Flexer is a 6-1, 170 lb junior right handed pitcher from Georgia with a tall and slender body. He's a pretty good overall athlete with good running speed underway and some power potential at the plate. Flexer showed good life and late movement on a 75-78 mph fastball. We've seen Flexer throw with very good command in the past but he didn't have it this day and was consistently under the ball. He also threw a 60 mph curveball and a 66 mph change up. With his age and athletic ability we expect Flexer to keep improving in the future and this outing was a bit of an abberation based on what we've seen in the past. Keep an eye on him. Flexer is also a very good student.
