Severiano Romo is a 2013 SS/RHP with a 6-1 168 lb. frame from Fullerton, CA who attends El Dorado HS. Slender young build, has some wiry strength. 6.91 runner, quick feet on defense, has range, second base actions and arm strength, quick exchange and release, soft hands, works through the ball well, sound fundamental infielder. Right handed hitter, good balanced swing, handles the barrel well, consistent swing mechanics, line drive contact to all fields, long stride occasionally leaves him late to the ball. Also pitched, long loose arm action, consistent mid 80's fastball, throws strikes. Versatile player who knows the game. Good student, verbal commitment to San Diego.
